Honest answers to fair questions.
Is the $999 implant fee the total cost?
No. The $999 is the placement fee, which is the surgical step. A real single-tooth implant case at our practice runs $1,646 total: $249 extraction + $50 required collagen plug + $199 bone graft + $999 implant placement + $149 stage 2 uncovery 3-6 months later. Add $200 if you want oral sedation. The crown on top is a separate visit at your regular dentist.
Is the visit free?
No. A limited exam plus panoramic x-ray is $45, payable at the visit. The fee is waived if you stay for treatment the same day. We do not run free consults because we do not run marketing-funnel exams. You get a focused look at the problem tooth, a written treatment plan, and an honest answer about whether we are the right office for your case.
What is a CBCT and is it extra?
CBCT stands for Cone Beam Computed Tomography. It is a 3D x-ray that shows the bone, nerve, and sinus around your tooth, taken in about 20 seconds. It is required for safe implant planning. Most Bradenton offices charge $250 to $400 for it. Ours is included in the $999 implant placement fee at no extra cost.
What if my tooth is already missing? Do I still pay for extraction and graft?
No. If the tooth is already gone and the site has healed, you skip the extraction, plug, and graft. You only pay $999 for the implant placement and $149 for the stage 2 uncovery 3 to 6 months later. Total $1,148. We confirm you are a candidate at your limited exam, and if the bone is too thin and needs a graft first we will tell you up front.
Do you take insurance?
No. We do not bill insurance. We will give you the codes so you can submit your own claim for reimbursement. Skipping insurance billing is a big reason our prices are lower.
How much will I save?
A typical Bradenton single-tooth implant case runs $4,000 to $6,000 all-in with the crown. At Pull and Place: $1,646 for our part plus $1,200 to $2,500 for the crown at your regular dentist. Total $2,800 to $4,100. Typically 30% to 50% less, depending on your crown.
What happens at the stage 2 visit?
Three to six months after the implant is placed, the bone has fused around it and it is ready to use. You come back for a short 20-minute visit. We make a small opening over the implant and screw in a healing abutment, which is the post that the crown will eventually attach to. Then you go to your regular dentist for the crown. The stage 2 visit is $149.
Do you offer sedation?
We offer oral sedation with Halcion (triazolam) 0.25 mg, a pill you take an hour before your visit. $200 add-on. You must have an adult driver. We do not offer nitrous oxide or IV sedation. More on sedation.
Why don't you do crowns yourself?
Focus. Crowns are their own craft with their own equipment and workflow. If we did everything, we would charge what everyone else charges. By staying narrow, we keep prices down.
Can you really do same-day implants?
When the bone allows, yes. We extract the tooth, graft if needed, and place the implant in the same stage 1 visit. About six in ten patients are candidates. The rest need the site to heal first. We will tell you which group you are in at your limited exam visit.
What implants do you use?
We use US-made fixtures from a major manufacturer. Same evidence base and clinical track record as the premium brands. Lower cost to us, lower cost to you.
What if something goes wrong after the procedure?
You have direct access to the doctor for post-op questions for the first 30 days. If the implant fails to integrate (rare, under 3% of cases), we replace the fixture at no additional charge.
Is it painful?
The procedure itself is numb. Recovery is usually mild. Most patients describe it as easier than the dental visit they had been dreading. We give you a written aftercare plan and a phone number to reach us with questions. If you are anxious, ask us about oral sedation.
How long does an implant take to heal?
About three to six months for the bone to fully integrate with the implant. During that time you wear nothing on the implant. Stage 2 happens once it has integrated. Your regular dentist takes over from there to make the crown.
